We believe Father is calling us to pray and worship especially as lockdown 2.0 starts. For details see here.
October 2020 Update - 10 Days of Prayer
Thank you to those who joined us to pray together for our town and our world
As at Pentecost, the Global Zoom Prayer Room was a powerful expression of the body of Christ across the world coming together to pray to our heavenly Father, "Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven".
In Reading town centre, we blessed the town with 'Prayer for Healing'; professional christian musicians releasing healing music and worship into the atmosphere, dance and flags demonstrating the presence of King Jesus. We saw both those sitting on the benches and passers-by stop and listen, fully engaged with the music and dance. There were conversations and connections, and the tangible presence of God. All of this backed up by prayer in the central prayer room and through prayer walks.
The prayer for Reading continues through our weekday "10-minutes of prayer" times at 7:45am in the morning and at 9:45pm in the evening, and through our weekly lunchtime meting Thursday 1-2pm. We would love you to join us in praying for our town, so please do get in touch.
10 Days of prayer is a cross-town prayer initiative in Reading. We are passionate about prayer and unity and we long to see more of God's Kingdom coming in Reading with Jesus at the centre of it all.
We believe that prayer is powerful and as God's people seek his face and partner with him, he moves in incredible ways. We can't wait to see what he has in store for our town.
The Reading-wide prayer room at Abbey Baptist Church is currently closed due to the COVID19 pandemic. Let's fill Reading with night and day prayer and worship where we are as we seek Father God for our town, nation and the world. If you'd like to join us to pray online then there are some details here.
